MELROSE
Top-to-Bottom Renovation of this Handsome Home in Historic Chevy Chase Village, MD.
This project was very fulfilling for our team. Our task: a complete transformation, inside and out! We took this dated and rustic, French-country space and turned it into a bright and lively home with bounds of color and universal appeal. Fortunate enough to be working with celebrated architects, Neal Thomson & Patrick Cooke, and fantastic builder, John Cassell, we took a previously-finished 4-story, 5,600 sq. ft. home and created more than 7,200 sq. ft. of beautiful, modern, functional space for a young and busy family.
Our scope of work included gutting the kitchen and mudroom, adding two home offices, a full bathroom, guest bedroom, a large playroom, and renovating the powder room, 4 existing bedrooms and bathrooms, including a spacious master suite, sparing no details. A big plus for us was the homeowner’s collection of beautiful artwork, which added to our many layers of details. Working with clients who love their colors makes our work extremely enjoyable and we worked tirelessly to make sure each and every inch of space gave a nod to the next, through our selections for wallpapers, historic paint colors, tremendous built-ins and custom cabinetry and millwork.
